Tomball Museum Center Historical Buildings

Welcome to the Tomball Museum website. Our museum (registered as Spring Creek County Historical Association) consists of many historical buildings representing early Texas and, more explicitly, a living history of Tomball, Texas mid 19th century.

The Spring Creek County Historical Association, a non-profit 501C3 corporation, serves as the administrator of the Tomball Museum Center.

Membership in the Spring Creek County Historical Association brings the privilege of preserving local history, as well as other advantages.  Members will receive our newsletters, voting privileges in organization proceedings, and access to our research materials.  Membership meetings feature guest speakers or presentations of a historical nature.

HOURS:                                                                                                                                                               Thursdays and Saturdays between 10:00 & 2:00PM                                                                              Sundays between 2:00PM & 2:00PM                                                                                                          CLOSED HOLIDAYS including Christmas and New Year’s.

We look forward to seeing you.   Please contact us (281) 255-2148 for future tours.  The fee for tours is $4.00 per person and $5.00 per person for those who request tours outside scheduled hours.  Donations are welcomed.

We invite you to come and explore our campus inside and out for beautiful pictures and interesting information about our exhibits.  An adventure awaits as you tour the buildings and see how life was during the early 1900′s.  The exhibits featured inside each of the buildings are treasured and authentic antiques, uniquely displayed replicating early Texas life .

The  all volunteer Board of Directors governs the activities of the Museum, meeting monthly, to address the day-to-day operation, event planning, special events, and maintenance of the entire facility.

Visitors from around the world, in addition to our local community, have visited our complex.  Enjoying the well-preserved buildings, along with the furnishings in each, delights both young and old.  Additionally, weddings, receptions, and meetings are conducted there on a continuing basis.  Our Trinity Lutheran Church is a popular wedding venue, adding a nostalgic charm to any ceremony.

When you are in the area, make plans to visit us. If you are in the area during the second weekend of December, join us for our Annual Christmas Open House and Candlelight Tour; join us for a cup of wassail and homemade cookies; and enjoy the music of local choirs ringing in the Christmas season.
